Professor Martin Oliver

Martin works at the UCL Institute of Education, where he held the role of Vice Dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for four years. This included responsibility for the recruitment, promotions and professional development of academic staff. He is currently Professor of Education and Technology. His research focuses on ethical and equitable uses of technology, primarily in Higher Education. He was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by AdvanceHE, is a past President of the UK’s Association for Learning Technology, and has over a decade’s experience as an editor of academic journals in his field. He is excited to bring together his management experience and research interests in his work with the Institute for Educational and Social Equity.
