Mr. Flowers brings a distinguished record of leadership, advocacy, and community engagement to the role. A highly respected entrepreneur, known for his unwavering dedication to fairness, inclusion, and empowerment, Mr. Flowers has spent decades championing underrepresented communities and fostering environments where all voices are valued.
As Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Flowers will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the strategic direction of the organisation. He will serve as a key ambassador for the Institute for Equity, University Centre supporting its mission to drive systemic change through innovative learning, research, business support and public engagement.
Professor Paul Miller, CEO & Principal of the Institute for Equity, University Centre welcomed the appointment, stating:
“Mr. Flowers embodies the essence of our institution’s values. His leadership, integrity, entrepreneurial acumen and lifelong service to community development make him the ideal person to support of work at this point in our journey. We are absolutely honoured to have him as our inaugural Pro-Chancellor.”
In accepting the appointment, Mr. Flowers said:
“I am deeply humbled to serve as the first Pro-Chancellor of the Institute for Equity, University Centre. This role represents an important call to action. I look forward to working with staff, learners, the Board, partners, local and regional communities to ensure the Institute for Equity, University Centre continues to make a difference in our society”.
