Director of the Institute for Educational & Social Equity, Professor Paul Miller said:“Leadership is key to transforming outcomes for individuals and institutions it’s significant that Kirklees Council have invested in the professional development of its educational leaders. This is a great achievement for the Council, these leaders and their teams/ institutions”.
The Professional Development Certificate in Educational Leadership & Social Justice is a modular based programme designed to provide introductory knowledge and skills to individuals in a variety of roles, and with responsibility for educational leadership, curriculum design and oversight, and leadership of EDI. The programme supports ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’ by combining theory, practice and case study evidence from multiple organisational settings. In addition, the programme is designed to promote collaboration, critical self-awareness and reflection.
We warmly congratulate our programme completers and look forward to engaging with them to further advance understanding and practice in social justice leadership.
