Benedicte is CFO at the River Learning Trust, a 31-school Multi Academy Trust. Following an early finance career at KPMG and as Director of International Affairs at the French Asset Management Association, she transitioned into education, driven by a belief in intercultural understanding. She helped establish a multi-lingual free school near Oxford and conducted research to promote language learning as a vital tool for bridging cultural divides.
She has a passion for inclusion with a specific interest in the design of inclusive education system and funding mechanisms that support inclusion. She also leads the community work in her trust, championing local partnerships to support inclusive practices on the ground.
Benedicte was named CFO of the Year at the 2023 MAT Excellence Awards for her contribution to system leadership and innovation, received the Institute of School Business Leadership CEO Award and the School Resource Management of the Year award in 2024.
